The 2015 Subaru Legacy will get up to 36mpg

Subaru introduced the all-new, completely redesigned 2015 Legacy today. Along with the expected safety upgrades (including a standard rear-view camera in all models), they’ve announced an estimated fuel efficiency rating of 26mpg city and 36 mpg highway, officially placing it at the top of the AWD midsize sedan class and bringing it very close to its midsize, FWD contemporaries. Those numbers are nothing to scoff at; Subarus have always been leagues ahead of their peers in nearly every other category, and achieving 36mpg in a mid-size sedan with full-time AWD means there are fewer and fewer reasons to own any other type of car. People Can’t Stop Buying Subarus – Subaru Sets Sales Record in the US, Canada, and Australia

Subaru is primed to take over the world, and they’re doing a pretty great job of it thus far: in 2013, Subaru’s US sales rose 26.2%, putting them at 424,683 units sold. That’s a significant growth, and sets an all-time annual sales record for the company in the United States, which is made even more impressive when you consider that this is the 5th consecutive year that they’ve broken their previous record.
